Just a quick post so I'll stay on track...I FINALLY got a trim thanks to my sister in law Tamika. I think I i'll be going to her to trim my ends. The plan is to trim off all the thin ends so I'll have healthy even hair all around right know I'll just space it out to every 4-6 months on trimming my ends as far as being on a schedule cause I'm still scared of losing lenght.....
Well as of Friday I will be 8 weeks post.....my stretch has been doing great daily moisturizing, shampoo and conditioning
Last saturday I did a protien treatment using Aphogee 2 Step Protien treatment I didn't have the balancing moisturizer so I used the Elasta QP intense Fortifying Conditioner. To me they are both the same....same consistency and smells the same I guess but it did what it needed to do and that was to soften my hair up after a hard protien treatment.
I think I needed it because I was shedding a lot so I felt I needed it.
Well for my protective style, for the past four weeks i've been just doing a ponytail with a clip leaving it up and then styling it for church but I just wanted to do my best to stop messing with it due to the fact that I have new grow and the fact that I trimmed my ends I should have a good relaxer update this time.
My protective style for the next two months hopefully is braids. My sister in law braided my hair and I'm loving it even though my head still hurts a little cause she braids so tight which is cool cause she braids fast and is very neat I love her. It took her two days because I couldn't take off due to me having to fill in for someone. So she crowned it tuesday night and finished the rest yesterday. She always teases me about me having a big head and the fact that I have thick hair but she always compliments my 3c-4a hair, and the fact she doesn't charge me is a cool factor too thanks to my husband. So right now it's in a low ponytail until it stops hurting I don't put too much tension on my hair right now cause it's soo tight right now so I'll give it a few days too loosen up.
So to maintain my braids I'll will learn how to wash and condition them, keep them moisturized and oil my scalp with my castor oil. So caring for my hair is still a must even with braids.
So I'll keep going until I reach APL.
Until then be blessed....
